Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1966 GMC Pickup. The 1960-66 C/K series of pickups were revolutionary for Chevrolet/GMC as they were the first line of pickups not based on the A platform but a new one all its own. New innovations like front control arm independent suspension and a drop-center frame ensured popularity in the market. GMC offered several large displacements V6 engines in their trucks, and this example is equipped with the 305CID V/6 topped off with a Holley 2-barrel carburetor mated to a 4-speed manual with a 4-wheel drive transfer case. This configuration was rated at 165hp and 280 lb-ft. of torque when new. The floor of the bed has been redone with new wood throughout making it both usable and show worthy at the same time. The cab features a newly redone two-tone brown bench seat. Equipment includes black vinyl flooring, power and tilt steering, as well as a JVC audio system. The classic two-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer flanked by a tachometer and gauges for fuel economy, temperature, and fuel level. These classic trucks are great for a ride around town or being put to work out on the farm. If you're after a vintage truck that isn't "over the top", then this just might be the one.
